Breaking Through Creative Blocks

We all know developing good creative is not at all like a lot of things in our lives.  If you're in sales...you don't get sales block.  If you're an attorney, you don't get legal block.  If you're a real estate developer, you don't get developer's block.  You get the picture.  Creative ideas come in the shower, in the middle of the night, during a conversation, you name it.  Still, more often than not, you have a deadline and you need a breakthrough...fast, and now.

There are no simple steps to breaking through a creative block.  So now you're thinking 'why did I just read this useless blawg post.'  And you are right...a bit of a waste of your time.  Except to say, here are a few things that WE do.

1. Go for a jog, clear your mind.

2. Hit the local pub, pound two pints of Guinness, and get back at it.

3. Take more showers...ideas seem to always hit when you're lathering the armpits.

4. Read a book about ants.

5. Blast some Hendrix.

6. Buy one of those office mushy balls and squeeze for 19 minutes straight.

We hope all this helps...it helps us. Smiley face here.
